A mother’s story is also our story
Hello, I’m Chau Sir.
This morning I was on Commercial Radio’s Thunder 881 programme Share My Song. Much of what we talked about were, in truth, mothers’ stories.

While the piece was being made, I kept remembering so many moments of my own—happy ones and hard ones. Tears came up on their own. I wasn’t trying to be dramatic; it was only when those real days walked through my heart again that I realised how much feeling I have been carrying along the way.
This interview is not just an ordinary story. It is the story of parents like us. Anyone still doing their best for a child may hear their own shadow in a line or two: the worry, the joy, the falling down, and the standing up again.
I hope you will listen with your heart. Not just to finish the clip, but so that the whole thing might encourage us—to keep walking this road together, and to support one another.
The most important line is this:
Don’t go it alone. Come out and meet people.
Along the way I have only ever shared from personal experience and reference ideas, talking slowly with families. What I most want to say has never been a label, but companionship, pace, and a space where people can feel safe. When we stop carrying everything by ourselves, there is room to breathe—and then to take one more step forward, together.

Thank you to Share My Song for giving me a place to say what was on my heart, and thank you to every parent still working hard for their child. The road is still long, but we can walk it slowly together—no one has to walk alone.
