Rope Mentors: Everyone Passed — A Full Circle Moment

Hi, I’m Chau Sir.

I want to share something that made me truly glad: this year’s rope mentor training has wrapped up, and everyone passed.

Two new mentors cleared the exam and joined the team; four completed their renewal and are continuing on. Seeing the group with their certificates, smiling in front of the rainbow wall, I felt quietly grounded.

These trainings aren’t just about “getting a paper.” After all these years, I’ve come to see more clearly: behind the rope is trust, pacing, and companionship between people. Mentors learn technique — and also how to hold a safe, respectful space for the other person, especially when practising with children and families.

Every year I see different kinds of growth: someone moves from nervous to willing to try; someone renewing says, “This year I noticed I have a bit more patience.” Those small shifts, to me, are where the real value sits.

Thank you to every mentor who stayed the course, and to the partners who walked with us. The road is still long — but this time, we completed a step together.

One last note: this was possible because Marco Sir and Dr. Benny gave quietly in the background. Team strength really matters — sticking with something like this isn’t a solo job. I’m grateful to have these two partners walking this path with me.
